WSB has been together since the late 1990's, first as the UU Blues Band, and since 2000 as White Street Band. As bandmates and friends, we have formed strong bonds over the years. Sadly, two of our founding members have passed away. Here we wish to remember and pay tribute to them.
Marty Sinacore was an accomplished guitarist and a founding member of White Street Band. In "real life," Marty was a PhD Scientist, leading the development of life saving drugs that have helped countless people on this planet. He can be heard on the WSB recording "White Paint," with his silky guitar solos. Marty was a wonderful husband and father to his two children, and he was active in his community and church. He passed away in 2012. We miss him.
Michael Bider was a native of Lawrence, MA, and lived in the North Shore area all his life. In his youth, he played clubs and open mikes, and he became an accomplished musician, with a unique, attacking guitar and a "Dylan-esque" vocal style. He was a founding member of White Street Band and can be heard on our "White Paint" recording with both guitar and vocals. Michael was a very well known antiques expert and auctioneer, having for many years operated "Biders Antiques" in the North Shore area. He was a wonderful husband and a great father to his three daughters. He passed away in 2019 and is missed every day.
